Refrigerating System Operating Engineer (RSOE) Training Courses
The newly developed Building Operation, Maintenance and Recordkeeping (BOMR) topic is required to be included in the Refrigerating System Operating Engineer (RSOE) Training Courses based on the new 3 RCNY §113-07 requirements which will take effect on July 1, 2015. Local 30 has incorporated this subject matter in its refrigeration training instruction as per FDNY requirements.
The BOMR material will be included in the first part of Certificate of Qualification Exam (Z-51) starting from 10/1/2015. The new updated Z-51 exam will be a 110-question exam addressing the original materials and the new BOMR material.
Study material is available at: http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/pdf/cof_study_material/z_51_st_mat.pdf
Please note: Existing Q-01 and Q-99 holders will require 7 hours of classroom instruction on BOMR in order to renew their license as of January 1, 2016. Holders of F-58/F-25 are already qualified.
Local 30 will offer the required training to members as needed (pending FDNY approval). The anticipated start date of BOMR instruction is September 2015.
